India emerged victorious over Pakistan by six runs. The intense, low-scoring match was attended by more than 34,000 passionate fans in the temporary arena.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first on a challenging, unpredictable pitch. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf shone with three wickets each, putting pressure on the Indian batting order. In the chase of 120 for victory, Pakistan was looking good at 80-3 after 14 overs. The match’s turning point came right at the start of the 15th over when Jasprit Bumrah (3-14) bowled Mohammad Rizwan (31 off 44) with a well-directed delivery that hit the stumps. Rizwan’s aggressive shot attempt cost him dearly. Axar Patel had an exceptional 16th over, giving away only two runs. Following that, Hardik Pandya induced a top edge from Shadab Khan (4) with a short ball that resulted in his dismissal. Iftikhar Ahmed (5 off 9) found it hard to score quickly and fell on the final ball of the 19th over, mistiming a full toss from Bumrah. Arshdeep Singh managed to take a crucial catch despite a slight collision with Suryakumar Yadav.

Needing 18 runs from the final over, Imad Wasim (15 off 23) was dismissed caught behind by a yorker from Arshdeep. The umpire initially gave Wasim out caught behind as the batters attempted a quick single, leading to some confusion. Despite Wasim opting for a review, Ultra Edge displayed a clear spike, confirming his dismissal. Pakistan could only score 11 runs in the last over, resulting in another defeat for them.

In the earlier stages, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam  was caught at slip off a delivery from Bumrah that nipped back in sharply. Axar Patel dismissed Usman Khan  by trapping him leg-before with a deceptive slider from a wide angle. Fakhar Zaman  fell to a well-executed bouncer from Pandya. India maintained pressure by consistently taking wickets, ultimately claiming victory in the match.
