UPSC Civil Service (Main) Examination 2020 result declared

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)  declared the result of the civil services main examination 2020, on Tuesday. The UPSC CSE was conducted from 8 – 17 January in the country. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check the results on the official website- upsc.gov.in.  Personality Tests or Interviews of selected candidates will be commenced shortly. Personality test which will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, New Delhi. The interview will be of total 275 marks and there won’t be any minimum qualifying marks. The candidates will be required to bring their original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and other documents such as TA Form, etc..

UPSC Civil Services Main result 2020: Steps to check

Step 1: Visit the official website- upsc.gov.in

Step 2: Now Click on the ‘UPSC Mains result link 2020’

Step 3: A pdf file with name and roll number of the selected candidates will appear

Step 4: Download and if needed, take a print out for further reference.

The UPSC civil services examination is held annually in three stages, that are  preliminary, main and interview. Annually, candidates for administrative positions in different All-India Services and central civil services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), among others are selected through the CSE. Candidates who have qualified for the interview have to fill up and submit a detailed application form which will be available on the website of the UPSC from March 25 to April 5. In this form candidates have to give preference of their services and cadre. Along with the detailed application form candidates also have to fill up the attestation form and submit it online. This form will be available on the website of the Department of Personnel & Training from the date of commencement of interview till its conclusion.
