Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT arm of the Tata Group, has announced updates on salary hikes. The company will roll out its annual salary increments in March 2025, with payments starting in April.

However, TCS faced a major setback in the stock market last week. Its market value dropped by ₹53,185.89 crore, bringing its total valuation to ₹13.7 lakh crore. This was the biggest loss among the top 10 most valued companies, which together saw a total decline of ₹1,65,784.9 crore.

TCS was the hardest hit due to weak market trends, followed by Bharti Airtel, whose market capitalization fell by ₹44,407.77 crore to ₹9.3 lakh crore.

During the same period, the BSE benchmark index lost 628.15 points (0.82%), while the Nifty declined by 133.35 points (0.58%).
