Actor Sonu Sood announces coaching scholarships for IAS aspirants

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has announced free coaching scholarships for IAS aspirants. Sonu and New Delhi-based youth organisation DIYA Delhi has launched an initiative, SAMBHAVAM, to help IAS aspirants.. Announcing the news on Friday, Sood shared a photo on his twitter handle and wrote, “Karni hai IAS ki tayyari…Hum lenge aapki zimmedari (want to prepare for IAS…we will take the responsibility). Continuing his philanthropic work even amid the pandemic Sood has been helping people in need ever since the Covid pandemic broke last year. From arranging transportation for thousands of migrants stuck in various parts of the country due to lockdown to launching scholarship programs for those in need, Sood has been contributing his bit to help the needy ones. Sonu Sood received the SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as an appreciation for the efforts he has been putting to help people. 

Last year the actor helped migrants working in big cities reach their villages and towns.This year too, in the second wave of covid, he has been contributing his bit by helping Covid-19 patients with medical oxygen, ambulances and other life-saving medicines. In a tweet posted on Saturday, the actor said: “When life blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.”
