Step 1: Go to GST portal and click on register now under the taxpayers

Step 2: In this step you need to enter details like:

  • The select taxpayer in the drop-down under I am a
  • Pick the right state and district
  • Input name of the company, PAN along with other details of the business
  • Input email address and mobile number. You will get the OTPs
  • Once completed, click proceed

Step 3: In this step, input the OTP received. Click on continue (If OTP not received, click on resend OTP)

Step 4: Once completed, you get Temporary Reference Number (TRN) that will be sent to the mobile and email

Step 5: Again visit GST portal and click on register now

Step 6: Click on TRN and then enter it along with the captcha code and click on proceed

Step 7: Once the above step is completed; you get an OTP on the registered mobile and email. Input the OTP received and proceeds to the next step

Step 8: In this, you will notice that status of the application will be shown as drafted. Once completed, click on the edit icon

Step 9: In this step, part B has 10 sections. All you need is to fill all the details and submit the appropriate documents needed for the successful registration

Here is a detail list of all the documents that are needed and you need to keep them handy for the registration of GST. The documents include – photographs, proof for the place of business, the constitution of the taxpayer, bank account details and authorized form.

Step 10: once you have entered all the details on this verification page, tick on the declaration and complete with submitting the application using any of the following was:-

  • Using e-Sign – In this OTP will be sent to Aadhaar registered number
  • Companies can submit this application using DSC
  • Use EVC – In this OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number

Step 11: Once the above step is completed, proceed with a success message that is displayed and the application reference number is sent to the mobile and email. Once all the steps are completed, an individual can check the ARN status of the registration by entering the ARN in GST portal.
