School of Open Learning is one of the constituent college of Delhi University which was established in the year 1962 and it provides distance education for the both Undergraduate and Graduate courses. It has two campuses that North Campus and South Campus. It will soon open its center at East and west part of Delhi as well. The school of Open learning also provides hard copy of the study material to is enrolled students so that the students faces no difficulty while studying distance learning courses.

School of open learning is about to start online application form filling process for admissions in the year 2017. School of open learning, Delhi University has offered various types of graduate and Post graduate courses to the candidates. Those candidate who are unable to get admission to the regular course, can complete their chosen studies through open schooling in Delhi University.  The main study courses offered through open schooling are Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (honors, Pass, Program)

Eligibility Criteria-

Candidates are required to have completed 12th class examination with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in class 12th

For Bachelors of Arts Honors and Bachelors of Arts in English-

The candidates must have studied English as one of the main subjects and also must have secured a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate in English Core or 60% marks in aggregate in Selective English

For Bachelor of Arts in Political Science-

Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all the qualifying subjects as prescribed

For Bachelor of Commerce Honors-

Candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate which is a requirement or 60% marks in aggregate in vocational courses with commerce as the mainstream

Relaxation for Reserved Categories-

  • For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes- only the pass marks are a requirement
  • For Other Backward Classes- 10% relaxation on the minimum percentage
  • PWD Candidates- 5% relaxation as prescribed

 

Application Form-

More than 3 lacs of students have taken part in the Delhi University School of open learning (SOL DU) registrations every year. The online application form registration will start in July, 2017. For the support of the candidates the new payment gateway methods has already been proposed.

Application Fee-

  • 100 (at counters)
  • 120 (by post in India)
  • Rs 240 (by post foreign countries)

Admission Form Details

Candidates who are interested in the courses of open school need to visit the nearby IDBI Bank branch and collect the prospectus.

The duly filled in application form has to be submitted at the same IDBI Bank branch

Once, candidates submit their application form, they will get confirmation through SMS or email

A verified link to get the fee receipt will be sent by SMS or email and then the candidates are required to download and take the print out of the receipt and have to collect their study material from the study center.
